OILES Air Bearing is a self-lub bearing with high rigidity, high measurement and high velocity. The unique porous sintered layer and back metal are composed in one unit.

Performance of Bearing (radial bearing)
Performance of air bearing; bearing rigidity and load capacity are decided by bearing dimensions and flow quantity and setting of gap of a radius.
High rigidity and accuracy type : gap of a radius, 7~12m
Generalized type : gap of a radius, 10~15m
High speed type : gap of a radius, 15~20m

The following data as reference value in a experiment example of air supply gauge pressure 0.49MPa.

Note of Handling
Fixing method of bearing
When fix a bearing, must minimize transformation. Avoid fixation by Press-fitting.
When it use particularly several bearings, the concentricity becomes important. Please choose the following fixed method adequately.
Shrink fitting use with adhesive bonding --- Heat the housing and make hole dimensions of bearing fixation part big.
Make a ring groove for bearing outer diameter and apply adhesives (ex : Lock tight) to groove and insert it in a housing.
Cooling fit -------------------------------------- By small quantity spends dry ice in ethanol and the bearing soak in this, and bearing dimensions shrink and insert in a housing.
O ring fixation --------------------------------- Insert in a housing in the state that in stalled an O ring in outer diameter of a bearing.
Flange part fixation --------------------------- Fix to a housing in the case of a bearing with flange in a flange part.

Sintered porous lagers of a bearing is mode reasonable flow rate adjustment on.
When it is less than supersonic wave washing 100Hz and do sintered porous layers, please avoid because flow rate can change.
Give the end face of the axis R chamfering because the axis is often damaged surface of the bearing when it assemble.
Axial surface roughness makes Re0.2 (1S) a standard.
Axis materials, please use anticorrosion steel (SUS). And giving hard chromium plating is recommended.
The ceramics, stone, hard alumite treatment materials as well can be applied.
Don't use it as for the electrolytic-less nickel plating, not for suitable.

Use clean air (a dry area, passed through 1/m following filters).
Supply pressure is to secure the capacity of about two times of the consumption way quantity with 0.49Mpa (basic performance value) usually.
When it sart after along-term stop, please use it after check drain and air pressure by all means, and confirming that it is normal.

Garbage, rust, cutting powder can invade after assembling of the air plumbing, please use it after doing an air blow enough.
The condition that grease or oil stick to the bearing surface and the axis isn't normal.
Air supplies a bearing in an opening condition, and throw the oil out of the inside of porous lagers, and wipe it out with the solvent.
