About the Electronic Provision System for General Meeting of Shareholders Materials

What is the electronic provision system for General Meeting of Shareholders materials?

This is a system to provide materials* from General Meetings of Shareholders from March 2023 onward to shareholders by publishing them online on our website and related sites (= electronic provision system) instead of the meeting notices that had previously been sent on physical paper through postal mail.
All listed companies are required to use this system pursuant to a revision of the Companies Act which came into force on September 1, 2022.

* General Meeting of Shareholders reference documents, business reports, audit reports, financial statements, and consolidated financial statements

Background and future outlook of the electronic provisioning system for General Meeting of Shareholders materials

About our usage of the system

  • Start date
Planned to start with our 72nd Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on June 29, 2023
  • Applicable parties
Shareholders who have voting rights in our company
  • Documents to be sent
For the 72nd Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on June 29, 2023, we plan to send our General Meeting of Shareholders materials in document form to shareholders as we always have, regardless of whether they requested document delivery.
However, we have not decided how this will be handled going forward.

Document delivery requests

We will send the same materials contained in the General Meeting of Shareholders materials provided on our website in document form to shareholders who wish to receive these materials in such form due to circumstances such as having difficulty using the internet. Shareholders who wish to receive these documents must complete the Document Delivery Request procedures by the General Meeting of Shareholders date of record (March 31) either at Mizuho Trust & Banking which administers our shareholder registry, * or at a securities firm that they do business with.

* We may omit some of the information shown in General Meeting of Shareholders materials or documents, within the scope recognized by legal ordinances and the articles of incorporation.
