Our tribology technology can be summarized in three key areas: friction, wear, and lubrication. Friction is the force exerted when objects move against each other, wear is the reduction of their surfaces, and lubrication is a method of reducing friction and wear. As long as a shaft and bearing are in contact with each other, friction and wear are inevitable, but we have solved this problem by self-lubrication, use of optimal lubricants, and technologies that make good use of frictional resistance, aiming for “proper” friction and wear.
